Kākā parrots are my inspiration, first and foremost, and in this piece I tried to capture the sheer joy and exuberance they have for life. One of my few non-square images. ​Exhibited in: "Visions of Zealandia" solo exhibition (Jun-Sep, 2017), online Light-Space-Time gallery "Animals" exhibition (Jun 2017, special merit award), online Light-Space-Time Gallery solo exhibition (Sep, 2017). Published in: the Living the PhotoArtistic Life magazine (Apr, 2016 [earlier version]), Artists Down Under magazine (Jun, Oct 2017). 10% of the artist's proceeds goes to Zealandia EcoSanctuary to support their conservation efforts.
